Tide and time is a speaking, nautical clock.The etched zinc clock face is the admiralty chart of Poole harbour.

The second hand, a neon light sweeps over the face like a radar. The hour hand shows the actual hight of the tide, receiving a transmitted signal from the coast.

The clock selects stories on the hour and half hour by a combination of the hight of the tide and the position of the hour hand. The stories are placed around the chart like buried treasure.
