| In
this 30’ high clock copper spheres are supported by a stainless steel
‘lightning strike’ like a giant Van der Graph Generator, which comes
out of a cast iron explosion at the base. On the hour a small figure
pulls a lever which activates the clock, the wind face slowly appears
from the large sphere blowing smoke onto the figure. The force of
the wind blows the figure horizontally but he manages to hold onto
the lever. |
|
As
the wind abates everything returns to normal. At the base of the column
meteorological instruments give full weather information.
